Beyond packing your bags

A different country. Still you.

Language is only part of it.

You prepare what to say, but the words won’t come out in a meeting. Understanding the unwritten rules is part of settling in, too.

Your experience still matters.

You bring skills and experience. Now you need to work out how to show them in a different professional environment.

There’s room for missing home.

You chose to be here and still miss your people. You can want this new life and need some company while you build it.

You don’t have to work it all out alone. We can start with what feels hardest today.

Con Raíz y Alas

From feeling out of place to finding your own way to live here.

Feel more like yourself.

Work on your confidence, learn to set boundaries and find ways to connect with other people. Make room for missing home without letting it take over your new life.

Know how to move forward.

Practise conversations and interviews, understand local expectations and define your next career step. Practical tools to help you turn overthinking into action.

Six months with Miryam, a group that shares your experience and tools you take from the session into everyday life.

Every week

A weekly space to move forward

90 minutes live: an hour of practical tools around the week’s topic, followed by half an hour to share, ask and practise.

The taught part is recorded. The group part isn't, so you can speak freely.

Every week

Your space to come back to

A recording of the theory, slides and a workbook. Revisit the session and bring what you learn into your daily life.

Everything is saved in your campus, available for good.

Every month

Time just for you

30 minutes one-to-one with me to work on your situation: a decision, an interview or something you’d rather discuss privately.

Plus occasional extra tutorials, subject to availability.

Always

People who understand your journey

A group of people also building their lives abroad. Plus direct contact with me on WhatsApp for brief questions.

I answer these once a week.

Does the format work for you? Let's talk for thirty minutes and I'll tell you if now is your moment.

Who you'll work with

I’m Miryam. I started again, too.

From Marbella to Germany, then Andorra. I lived in Germany for three years and spent two working in an early-years school, with my qualifications recognised there. I learned the language and the unwritten rules along the way. I know what missing home feels like, too.

I’m a coach and a Psychology graduate, with a Master’s in Personal and Professional Coaching from the University of Málaga. My support draws on both that training and my experience of living abroad.

You don’t have to prove you can handle everything here. Bring your situation, your questions and your willingness to move forward. We’ll work with practical tools, without magic formulas.

My training and experience
  • Personal and professional coach
  • Master's in Personal and Professional Coaching · University of Málaga
  • Degree in Psychology
  • Master's in Sexology and Couples Therapy · Instituto de la Pareja
  • Early-years teaching qualification recognised in Germany
  • Spanish · German · English
  • Catalan B2 certified by the Government of Andorra

How we work matters

I commit to you. You commit to your process.

I personally consider each situation before offering a place. I need to understand what you are looking for, where you are now and whether my approach can help. You also need to feel this is the right space for you.

What you bring

  • A willingness to look honestly at your situation and try new ways of doing things.
  • Time to practise between sessions and complete the tasks we agree on.
  • Openness to sharing in a community, listening and respecting everyone’s privacy.
  • Commitment to your goals, even when progress means stepping beyond what feels familiar.

What you can expect from me

  • Attention to your situation, clear goals and follow-up on the work we do.
  • Exercises and tasks to apply the tools outside our sessions.
  • A carefully supported group where you can share and learn without having to prove yourself.
  • Honesty: if you need a different kind of support, I will tell you before suggesting we work together.

My training in Psychology and Coaching informs our work on learning, habits and personal change. We put this into concrete goals, practice and reflection on your progress. This is coaching support; it does not replace psychological therapy.

What’s included

Six months. Your support, all included.

You have sessions, resources and ongoing support. Change takes practice between meetings: through tasks, exercises and a community to share the process with.

Joining starts with a conversation. If we find the right fit and commitment, I will explain the proposal and its terms so you can make an informed decision.

Before you decide

Questions I'm often asked.

The call is a chance to meet, answer your questions and consider whether working together makes sense.

I’d like to talk to Miryam

I live in a different time zone. Will I be able to keep up?

The programme is designed for people spread across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, so the live session is scheduled at a comfortable European time. If you can't make it one week, the taught part is recorded in the campus and the workbook lets you move forward anyway. What is never recorded is the group part, so that it stays a safe space to speak freely.

I haven't emigrated yet. Is this for me?

Yes, if you’re already preparing to move to Germany, Austria or Switzerland. We can work on your expectations, cultural codes and first steps. You can also join if you’ve lived abroad for a while and want to rethink how this chapter is going.

My German is still weak. Is that a problem?

No. The programme is entirely in Spanish. We work on study, memory and concentration techniques applied to German, but the language isn't a requirement to join: it's one of the things I'll help you with.

Is this psychological therapy?

No. It's a coaching process: we work on skills, tools and concrete goals, not symptoms or diagnoses. I'm a coach and a Psychology graduate, and that training shapes how I work, but this programme is not therapy and does not replace it. If I see during the process that what you need is clinical care, I'll tell you plainly and point you towards it.

Why six months and not something shorter?

The programme runs for six months to cover all four areas and leave time to practise between sessions. It’s the format I’ve designed for ongoing support, with a one-to-one session every month.

Is attending the sessions enough?

Sessions are the starting point. Between meetings there are exercises, tasks and small steps to apply what you learn to your life. Paying for the programme does not create change on its own: you need to set aside time, practise and participate. On the call, we consider whether this commitment fits your life right now.

How many people are in each group?

Groups are deliberately small. The practical part loses all its meaning if nobody has time to speak, so I close enrolment once a group reaches its size and open a waiting list for the next intake.

Your first step

Before we begin, let’s see if we make a good team.

Tell me what you want to change and what you can commit to. I will consider whether this support fits your needs; you can get to know my approach and decide whether to take the next step.
